The dashboard is where signing in lands you. It is a summary of your own account: what you are running, what you have spent, what you owe, and what has happened recently. Every figure on the page is drawn from your services, your invoices, your wallet, and your tickets.

Dashboard

The welcome band

The band holds the pill, the heading Welcome back with your first name, and one line summarising the account. Two buttons sit on the right: View invoices, and New server, which opens the store.

The top of the dashboard for an account with two services and nothing owed. The pill reads the same on every account, the line under the heading counts services and regions, and each tile's small line changes with the state of the account. Amounts are left out of this example. Example view.

The summary line counts your active services and the regions they sit in, and adds Billing is clean. when you have nothing overdue and nothing unpaid in any currency.

The region number in that line is a guess, and a floored one. There is no region field on a service. The panel searches the product name for a city or country word and counts the distinct words it finds, so a service named in a way it does not recognise contributes nothing. When it recognises none at all, the line still reads "across 1 region" rather than zero. It is a reading of your own plan names, not a list of the datacentres Clouduxe runs, and it does not agree with the location chips elsewhere in the panel. Where a given service actually sits is on the service itself. See Your services list.

The overdue banner

A banner appears above everything else when you have at least one overdue invoice in the currency the page is displaying, giving the count, the amount outstanding, and a Pay now button that opens your invoices filtered to the overdue ones. It is not shown otherwise. See Paying an invoice.

The small line under each number changes with the state of the account:

Services carries a small bar showing the proportion of your services that are active. MTD spend carries a six month sparkline, the same series drawn larger in the spend card below.

What MTD spend counts

It is not a bill and it is not only what you have paid. For the current calendar month, the panel adds up invoices dated into that month, using the date an invoice was paid, or the date it was issued when it has not been paid yet. An unpaid invoice issued this month therefore counts towards the figure, which makes the tile closer to "invoiced this month" than "money spent this month".

Six invoices and whether the tile counts them. Each is dated by the day it was paid, or by the day it was issued while it is unpaid, so an unpaid invoice from this month counts and an invoice from last month paid this month counts too. An invoice in a currency the page is not displaying never counts. Illustration.

Two further limits. Only invoices in the currency the page is displaying are counted, and the whole calculation reads your newest 60 invoices, so an account with more than 60 invoices in the last six months under-reports the older months. Treat the figure as an estimate rather than an accounting total. See Statements.

Your services

Under the heading Your services is the count of active services out of the total, a View all link, and a card for each of your first eight services. View all is how you reach the rest.

Each card shows:

  • The name you gave the service. When you have not named it, the plan name is used instead, and since the plan name repeats across every service on that plan, naming yours is what tells two of them apart.
  • The kind of service it is, and a location chip when the panel recognises one.
  • Spec chips for vCPU, memory, disk, and network.
  • A status dot with its label: Active, Provisioning, Suspended, or Cancelled.
  • A renewal countdown, shown only when the service is due within 30 days. See Renewal and cancellation.

Both the location chip and the spec chips are read out of text, not out of your machine. The chip comes from pattern matching the plan name, using a different list of places from the one the Network & firewall page uses, so the two can disagree on the same service. The spec chips are parsed out of the plan description, so a plan described in unexpected wording shows no chips at all. Neither is a reading of the running server. For that, open the service and see Server overview.

Clicking any card opens that service. With nothing on the account, the area is replaced by a Spin up your first server panel with Browse plans and Order a VPS buttons. See Choosing a plan.

Spend this month

Spend this month repeats the MTD figure at a larger size, with either a percentage against last month or the line Tracking your last 6 months, over six bars, one per month. The bars are the same numbers as the tile, so the same limits apply.

Two things to know before reading it. The percentage is coloured red when your spend went up and green when it went down, which looks like a warning but is only a direction. And when every month is zero, the bars render as dashed outlines at arbitrary heights with the line Your spend history will appear here once invoices clear. underneath. Those dashed bars are placeholders. They are not small amounts of spend.

Systems status

The card titled Systems status reports on Clouduxe's own internal systems. It says nothing about whether your server is running, and what it can and cannot tell you is worth reading before you rely on it. See Checking platform status.

To find out whether one of your own servers is up, open it from your services list and use Server overview or Console access.

Recent activity

Recent activity, subtitled Account events across billing & support, is a single timeline built by merging your newest invoices with your recent tickets and sorting by time. Eight rows are shown, with a View all link to your invoices.

  • An invoice row gives the invoice number and whether it was paid or issued, with the currency and amount underneath, and opens that invoice.
  • A ticket row gives the subject and the department, and opens that ticket. Its timestamp is when the ticket last changed, not when it was opened.

Because it is capped at eight rows, a busy billing month pushes ticket rows off the list entirely. Orders never appear here at all, despite the empty state mentioning them, so use Orders in the sidebar to follow an order. See Orders and cancelling.

With nothing to show, the card reads No activity yet.

Account health

When two numbers disagree

Three reasons the same fact can be reported differently in two places on this page, none of which mean anything is wrong with your account.

Currency. The page displays one currency: your preferred currency, or failing that the currency of your newest invoice, or your wallet's. MTD spend and every outstanding total count only invoices in that currency, while the Open invoices tile deliberately counts invoices in every currency. On an account billed in more than one currency, the tile can read 2 while the outstanding total beside it covers only one of them. See Tax and currency.

The sidebar count. The count on Invoices in the sidebar and the Open invoices tile are worked out from different rules over different slices of your invoice history. They can legitimately differ on the same account. The invoice list itself is the one to trust.

Freshness. The figures are cached for a minute or less, and the sidebar count is read once per page load and never again while you click around. After a payment the dashboard can lag behind. Reload the page.
