On this page
The store sits behind sign-in, so you need an account before you can see a plan or a price. Everything Clouduxe sells is in one of three categories, and the choice that catches people out is not the plan, it is the region.
The three categories
The landing page shows three cards. Nothing outside them is orderable.
Cloud VPS is the virtual machine category. A VPS is built for you after payment and gets the full server workspace: power controls, console access, reinstall, and the Firewall and Attacks tabs.
Dedicated Servers is the bare-metal category, the whole machine rather than a share of one. It is ordered the same way and gets the same workspace.
Edge Proxy is not a machine. Nothing is built, no server appears under Services, and the power, console and reinstall controls do not apply, because you point your own origin at the address you are given. Buy this when the thing you want protected is not a Clouduxe machine.
It is a separate product from the DDoS protection that already comes with every VPS and dedicated server at no cost. You do not need Edge Proxy to have a Clouduxe machine protected. That is included. Edge Proxy is for putting a filtered edge in front of an origin hosted somewhere else.
A category with no orderable plans is greyed out, carries a Coming soon badge, and cannot be opened. The badge is driven by the plan list at that moment, not by a launch date, so if a category you expect to buy from is showing it, open a ticket rather than waiting.
Comparing plans inside a category
Opening a category gives you one card per plan, counted in a badge and sorted cheapest first. Each card carries:
- The price headline, for whichever billing cycle is selected in the pills above it. The pills default to the cheapest cycle per month, which is usually the longest commitment, so the large number is often a multi-year total. Read the line underneath it, which names the cycle.
- A bullet list under the price. This is the plan's spec sheet from the catalog, the same text that becomes the spec tiles on the plan page, so it is the honest place to compare two plans.
- Configure & order, which opens the configure form. That button is the only way into a plan. There is no one-click order anywhere in the store.
If a plan exists in more than one region, its price is prefixed From and the card notes how many regions it is in. That headline is the cheapest region's price, and yours may cost more.
Where your server runs
This is the part worth reading twice.
The region is not a setting on a plan. Each region is a separate product with its own price, so the same plan in Germany and in Singapore are two different things to buy. Picking where your server runs means picking which of those products you order, and once it is ordered the region is fixed for that server.
The store recognises three regions and shows them with their city:
| Region | City |
|---|---|
| India | Mumbai (BOM) |
| Germany | Limburg (LIM) |
| Singapore | Singapore (SIN) |
Where this shows up:
- On the landing page, the Cloud VPS and Dedicated Servers cards carry small chips for the regions they cover. Edge Proxy has none.
- In a category listing, one plan sold in several regions is collapsed into a single card, which is why the price says From.
- On the plan page, a Location panel appears when the plan is sold in more than one region: "Pick the region closest to your players. Price varies by region." The tile you are on is not clickable, because you are already there. Every other tile is a link to that region's product, and it shows what the plan costs there.
If a plan is only sold in one region, the Location panel does not appear at all. To compare the same plan in another region, go back to the category listing.
Choosing an OS image
The rest of the plan page is the configure form, and apart from the hostname, the root password and the billing cycle, the operating system is the only thing you choose. The panel is headed OS Image with the note "Pick a system, then its release", and the plan header counts how many images are available.
Each system gets a box with its own release dropdown. Clicking a box selects that system's newest release, and the dropdown inside it changes the release. A system the store does not recognise is grouped under Other.
The image is required: the order cannot be added to your basket until the group has a value. It is also preselected when the page loads, with whatever the catalog happens to list first. That is a default, not a choice, so set it deliberately even if a value is already highlighted.
OS Image is the only attribute the current catalog offers. If a plan ever shows a second group, it works the same way and is also required.
