Placing an order turns your basket into an invoice, and that invoice is what you pay. Everything after this point happens against the invoice, not the basket.

What you are charged

The Total is tax inclusive. Tax is not added on top at the end: the Subtotal, Discount, Tax and Total rows on the basket and checkout summaries add up to the figure you pay.

Tax is worked out from the billing address on the order, so it settles once an address is attached. On the payment step the amount being charged is shown as Due now, which is the outstanding balance on the invoice. That figure is the authoritative one.

Prices are shown in your account currency. The catalog is priced in five currencies: CAD, EUR, GBP, INR and USD.

The payment methods you are offered

Which methods appear depends on what is enabled for your invoice's currency, so the list is not the same for every account. The rows the panel can show are:

Row labelWhat it is
Card / UPI / Net bankingRazorpay. Carries a Recommended badge when the invoice is in INR.
CardCard payment through Stripe.
PayPalSign in to PayPal to complete the payment.
Bank transferTransfer details are emailed to you.

If you have paid by card before, that card is saved and the payment section splits into Saved methods and New payment. Paying an invoice by card is the only thing that saves a card, so see Payment methods for how that works.

Paying

The payment step for an invoice in INR, where Card / UPI / Net banking is marked Recommended. The numbers match steps 1 and 2 below; which methods are listed depends on the invoice's currency. Amounts are left out of this example. Example view.
  1. Choose a method

On checkout, pick a saved card under Saved methods and press Place order, or press Continue to payment to reach the Choose how to pay step with the full list of methods.

  2. Complete the payment

Card, UPI, net banking and PayPal all hand you over to the provider's own page. Stripe takes two presses: Continue with Stripe brings up the card form, then Pay now charges it. Bank transfer is different: Email me transfer details records that you intend to pay and the invoice stays open until the money lands.

  3. Check the invoice

Whichever route you took, the invoice is where the answer is. See below.

Where each method leaves you

Anything that sends you to the provider's own page, which includes Razorpay's hosted flow and PayPal, brings you back to the invoice rather than to a confirmation screen. You land on the invoice page with a Payment received banner that says the payment is being confirmed with the gateway. That is the normal outcome, not a sign that something went wrong.

Bank transfer also leaves you on the invoice, which stays open until the transfer arrives.

Knowing that the payment worked

The invoice status is the answer. Paid means the payment succeeded and the invoice is settled in full. Partial means some money arrived and a balance remains. Unpaid means nothing has been received yet.

The panel never marks an invoice paid by itself. The billing system reconciles what the gateway actually took and updates the invoice, so an invoice can still read Unpaid for a moment after a payment that worked. Reload the invoice before assuming the payment failed, and do not pay a second time. If it is still unpaid well after the gateway said it charged you, open a ticket rather than paying again.

Every way of paying ends at the invoice. Two methods hand you to the provider's own page, Stripe's card form stays in the panel, and a bank transfer only records that you intend to pay. The status then says what arrived, and a payment that worked can read Unpaid for a moment, so reload before you pay again. Illustration.

After the payment clears

The service appears under Services and, for a VPS or dedicated server, the build starts on its own. Nothing else is asked of you at this point.
