Options is a hub. Most of what is on it is a way into a job that has its own page, so what this page does is tell you what is there and where each one is written up.
What you can start from here
Rebuild server. The Reinstall card, headed Rebuild server and marked ⚠ Destructive: back up first, is the way into the rebuild form. A rebuild wipes the disk, so read Reinstalling your server before you use it. It is also the only place in the panel where a server's display name can be changed.
Reset password. The Reset password card sets a new password on the
server's administrative account, root on Linux and Administrator on Windows.
The button is Reset root password, and the new password is shown once and
never again. See Resetting the root
password.
VNC console. The VNC console card's Open console button goes to the same screen as Console in the server sidebar. See Console access.
Boot settings
The remaining card, Boot settings, is a display. It reports three things about how the server starts:
| Value | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Boot type | The firmware the server boots with, shown as UEFI or BIOS. |
| Cloud-init | Whether the image runs cloud-init at first boot to apply settings like the hostname and SSH keys. Shown as Enabled or Disabled. |
| Boot order | The devices the server tries to boot from, listed in the order it tries them. |
All three are read out of the server's configuration and printed. There is no control on this card, or anywhere else in the panel, that changes them, and the rebuild form does not ask about them either. Treat the card as information about the machine you already have rather than as somewhere to configure it.
What is not on this tab
The firewall is the thing people look for here most often, and it is somewhere else. Port rules, rate limits, and IP allow and deny lists live under Firewall in the server sidebar, in the Clouduxe Prism group, not under Options. See The Firewall tab.
Power buttons are not here either. They sit on the Overview tab and above the console. See Power controls.
