# How to Rename a Database in cPanel

Renaming a database in cPanel is simple. Follow these steps:

* Log in to your **cPanel account**.
* In the **Databases** section, click on **MySQL Databases**.

* Under **Current Databases**, locate the database you want to rename and click on **Rename**.

* Enter the new database name and click on **Proceed**.
