An invoice can be given its own link, so an accountant or a business partner can
open it without a Clouduxe account. Sharing is off until you turn it on, and the
link itself is the only thing standing between the invoice and whoever holds it.
Share invoiceTurn this on to get a link you can send to anyone: an accountant, a colleague. They won’t need an account to open it.

The Share invoice dialog with sharing on. The number matches step 3 below; step 2 is Share, beside Download at the top of the invoice document. The refresh button beside the link issues a new one and kills the old. Example view. The link is an example.
Open the invoice
Go to Billing > Invoices and open the invoice you want to send.
Open the Share dialog
Share sits beside Download at the top of the invoice document. The dialog
is titled Share invoice.
Turn on Enable sharing
Switch Enable sharing on. The link appears in the box underneath, with a
button to copy it.
The link is issued the first time you turn sharing on, and it is not derived from
the invoice number. Someone holding one link cannot work out the link to any
other invoice on your account.
Allow PDF download controls whether a Download PDF button appears on the
shared page. The invoice document is rendered in the page either way.
The dialog checks the invoice against your own invoice list, which covers your
most recent 500 invoices. On an account with more than that, trying to share one
of the oldest answers "That invoice isn't on your account."
They do not sign in, and they are not asked for a passcode. The page opens
straight onto the invoice.
The full invoice PDF, rendered in the page. This is the real billing document:
your name, your billing address, your email address, every line item, and the
totals.
A summary panel beside it showing Amount due (or Total, or Credit
on a credit note), Issued, Due, Invoice total, and Tax.
The invoice status, worded the way the billing system reports it.
Download PDF, when you have allowed it.
Sign in to pay, when there is still a balance. There is no way to pay from
the shared page without signing in to the account.
A footer reading "This is a read-only copy shared by the account holder.
Contact them directly if anything looks wrong."
The page is marked so search engines do not index it, and it is served from a
Clouduxe address.

The shared page, opened with no sign-in and no passcode. The PDF is the real invoice, your name, billing address and email included; the summary rail repeats the key figures and only offers payment after signing in. Example view. Amounts and dates are examples; the grey bars stand for the invoice's contents.
Switching Enable sharing off stops the link working immediately. The link is
checked against your account on every single request, so there is no cached copy
that keeps working for a while afterwards. Someone opening a link you have turned
off sees the same "not found" page as someone guessing a link at random.
The refresh button beside the link, titled Issue a new link and kill the old
one, replaces the link with a fresh one. The panel confirms with "New link
issued. The old one no longer works."
What happens to a shared link. Switching sharing off parks the link, and switching it on again brings back the very same one. Only the refresh button kills a link for good, by issuing a new one. Illustration.
